The decor at 1898 The Post blew me away, blending neo-Gothic accents with modern touches in every corner. I loved enjoying coffee at the Cobbler bar, watching the vibrant activity at Korenmarkt square. The cocktail selection is unique, and the bartender was knowledgeable about jenever. The location is superb, right in the heart of Ghent. I faced some challenges with the room layout. The stairs to the bedroom are narrow and tricky. Breakfast served in the cocktail bar was good but could benefit from a more varied hot food menu. Still, I'd go back for the style and charm of this hotel.

Couple suit the luxurious stay

This place has charm like no other. We adored the high ceilings and the unique bathroom design with the mezzanine level. I mean, it reminded me of a scene from a movie, really! The bar has this very nice double helix staircase,...  

Just a solid selection for a transient stop in Ghent with real value for money. The stylish bar serves great coffee, and it was a nice spot to recharge after exploring the city. Check the bar for light snacks if you get hungry.

Charming atmosphere with a fine bar, perfect for winding down after a day of exploring. The location is buzzin' right in the city center, and the staff are super attentive.

The breakfast layout could be more convenient, and some areas felt a bit crowded during peak hours.

The service and decor were great, with every corner showcasing attention to detail. I loved relaxing with a book in the cozy lounge and enjoying the amazing breakfasts each morning. A bit of a hassle with the stairs, but overall, it was a lovely experience worth repeating 😊

beautiful hotel but slight noise issues

The decor is fine and very tastefully done! The enormous bed was comfortable. I especially enjoyed the amazing city view from my room.

There was some minor noise from outside that could be distracting at times.

The hotel provided a modern setting and was conveniently located in the center of the old town. It was very close to popular attractions such as a square, the waterside, and airports.
